Vaccinations must be given under the direction of a licensed Veterinarian to ensure proper administration. It is also important for a Veterinarian to asses your pets health and wellness and determine if your pet is healthy to board. Activities such as boarding, grooming, or taking your pet to the park can expose them to germs not found in your home. The most common reaction is known as Kennel Cough.
There are 3 forms of Bordetella vaccination to help in the prevention, but do not guarantee protection from Kennel Cough. It is possible for the pet to to have an adverse reaction with in 3-5 days after receiving the vaccination. R.J. Pets requires at least 7 days post vaccination before entering our facility.
If your pet is coughing, sneezing, vomiting, has diarrhea or any other symptoms of illness please do not enter our facility and make appointment with a veterinarian immediately. R.J. Pets requires at least 14 days post symptoms to enter our facility. Please contact RJ Pets within 24 hrs of your pet displays any of these symptoms after staying with us.
